CBS RADIO and Westwood One Renew Distribution Deal. This is a relationship that has been in effect for more than 20 years and with today’s announcement, we know that CBS RADIO and Westwood One are extending that multi-platform content and distribution agreement for an unspecified number of years into the future. This deal means Westwood One will continue to distribute: CBS Sports Radio, CBS Radio News, and “The Daly Download with Carson Daly.”
Industry Memorial Event Planned for Dr. Joy Browne in NYC. A memorial event titled “A Celebration of Joy” is planned as a tribute to the late Dr. Joy Browne who unexpectedly died on Saturday, August 27. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Helen Mills Theater, 139 W. 26th Street in Manhattan. Although admission is free, seating will be limited and open only to members of the radio, theater and media industries as well as friends and family of the late talk radio star and advance registration is required.
