LOS ANGELES — Our comprehensive four-part series of May 2019 ratings recaps commences with an overview of all-news stations.
The following scoreboards reflect data from such properties that appear in the top 20 (6+) in May 2019, a ratings period that covered April 25 – May 22.
Nielsen Audio releases audience estimates for facilities that subscribe to its services. As a result, ratings stats in this exclusive analysis are limited to stations paying that company for its data.
Entercom has a virtual stranglehold on the all-news genre, as that company owns all but three stations listed.
The exceptions are iHeartMedia’s WBZ-AM, Boston (also listed in Providence); WTOP, Washington, DC (Hubbard Broadcasting); and KOMO, Seattle (Sinclair Broadcast Group).
