LOS ANGELES — Our four-part series of detailed November 2018 PPM overviews concludes with a look at commercial, English-language news/talk.
It had been frequently stated that the 2018 mid-term elections (on November 6) would perhaps be the most important in our lifetime – if not in the country’s history.
Any hyperbole notwithstanding, such statements play right into news/talk’s wheelhouse. Therefore, for a variety of reasons, the format’s month-to-month (October 2018 – November 2018) and year-to-year (November 2017 – November 2018) results were even more highly anticipated than usual.
Concurrent with the critically important nature of the November 2018 sweep, which covered October 11 through November 7, the following constitutes our most thorough overview and analysis of any format to date as there are no ratings restrictions whatsoever.
All commercial, English-language news/talk outlets (including their online stream, when applicable) that appeared in any of the 48 PPM-markets are included (6+, November 2018).
If Nielsen Audio listed a commercial, English-language news/talk station (or stream) in November 2018, it appears below and its information was factored into all of our highlighted charts, if applicable.
Thus, the only fine-print is for “DNA,” meaning a station or its stream “Did Not Appear” (was unlisted) in a particular survey period.
