Strassell Named SVP of Programming at Hubbard. Programming pro Greg Strassell joins Hubbard Radio as SVP/programming. In this position he will work with current SVP/programming Greg Solk to lead the programming, brand and content strategies for the company’s 28 radio stations in its seven largest markets. Hubbard president and CEO Drew Horowitz says, “We are thrilled to bring someone of Greg’s talent on to the Hubbard team. The combination of Greg Strassell and Greg Solk gives us one of the most dynamic programming duos in the industry. Entercom Promotes Buck and Woche to GSM in Austin. Entercom has promoted Jennifer Buck and Bob Woche to general sales manager positions in its Austin station group. Company VP/GM Stephanie Callihan says, “I’m thrilled to announce the promotion of both Jen Buck and Bob Woche to general sales manager of Entercom Austin. Jen and Bob have provided great leadership to the team for many years and are well prepared to lead our team into the future. WGN, Chicago Announces New Football Show for the Fall. Beginning in September, WGN, Chicago will add “The Hamp & O.B. Show with Glen Kozlowski” to its lineup. The three-hour football post-game show will follow every regular season Chicago Bears game starting Sunday, September 13. The show will feature NFL Hall of Famer Dan Hampton and former Chicago Bears Ed O’Bradovich and Glen Kozlowski, who will provide extensive postgame analysis and insights. In addition to the postgame breakdown, Hampton will join the Steve Cochran show and Glen Kozlowski will join Roe Conn every Monday and Friday morning to provide a Bears game recap and preview.

At the Sacramento cluster of iHeartMedia, Ann Postell is named director of sales for the company’s stations that include news/talk KFBK-AM/FM and talk KSTE…..SiriusXM host Joe Madison broadcast from Cuba yesterday as part of his seven-day trip to the country. SiriusXM calls it the “the first national American radio talk broadcast from the island country in more than 50 years.” Madison is in Cuba meeting with government officials, touring landmarks, and previewing new tourist construction sites in preparation of the predicted waves of American tourists that some believe will flood the country.
ISIS Military Progress/U.S. Military Iraq Policy Tops Talkers TenTM for Week of June 8-12. The progress being made in Iraq by ISIS and the military role of the U.S. in Iraq was the most-talked-about story on news/talk radio during the week, landing atop the Talkers TenTM.
